What can you do with our technology?
Our Underwater Satellite
Our Underwater Satellite is able to automatically scan and map the seafloor, as well as man-made underwater constructions. It combines hyperspectral and RGB imaging with underwater navigation and artificial intelligence. The technology can be trained to identify and map many things, incl. plastic waste pollution on the seafloor, the effect of climate change on the health status of our seafloor, the degradation of underwater constructions, presence of invasive algae, biodiversity, the effectivenss of seafloor restoration efforts, algal growth for biofuels etc. Our Underwater Satellite quickly scans seafloor areas in high detail (i.e., pixel size mm to cm).
The Underwater Satellite reduces the time needed to map a detailed seafloor area by up to 50%, does not subsample, and any experienced diver can independently operate it underwater whilst recording the highest data quality. As such, our technology can be used for long-time monitoring of seafloor areas, to conduct environmental impact analyses and to inspect underwater constructions with high precision and at low cost. Furthermore, our Underwater Satellite is not limited to only experts. Soon our technology will also become diver-independent.
